Veteran Affairs or Administration loans are easily available to people who render services for the country. There are certain requirements that need to be fulfilled before getting the loan processes. Although there is not much to worry about, as these are basic qualifications enlisting you to get the loan.
Firstly, the most important requirement is that you need to be someone rendering services to the nation which is considered honorable. For example services rendered during WWII which is between 9/16/1940 -7/25/1947, Vietnam war between 8/5/1964-5/7/1975 and Korean war between 6/27/1950-1/31/1955. If you fall under any of these, there are certain other developments in case of VA loan. Also, you as a responsible citizen must do or complete a minimum of 90 days active duty in any honorable condition. If you happen to serve for less than 90 day and got discharged before that due to some disability, you can qualify for the VA loan.
The other requirement would be services rendered during the time from 7/26/1947 - 6/26/1950, 5/8/1975 - 9/7/1980, or 2/1/1955 - 8/4/1964 and 5/8/1975 - 10/16/1981. If you have served for 180 days or were discharged before completing 180 days due to any disability problems, you can also avail this loan. In case you have rendered service after September 7, 1980 or October 16, 1981 as an officer and has completed a minimum of 2 yrs. If the person had been discharged due to any medical condition, he or she can also apply for this loan. The same rule applies if you had been a part of Gulf War too. If you have lost your spouse who was a veteran or if you are the spouse of a missing veteran, you are still eligible. Also, if the spouse remarries after completing 57 yrs after 16 December 2003 and before 15 December 2004 can be eligible for VA loan.
